How to participate
It's very easy: send your story or the one of a person of your family (not exceeding three typed pages) to:

Remember to sign your work, indicating your address and your telephone number. The stories received without the sender name and address will not be accepted.
If you wish you can send a photo of the protagonist of the story or another one concerning the story theme (family, work, etc.).
The Associazione Pragmata will accept the stories written in the following languages: Italian, English, Spanish or French.
How to realize your story
Imagine that you have to tell a friend your life and work story abroad, starting from your decision to leave Italy for work or other reasons.
What was the year? Where did you go? Briefly summarize what happened to you: reception, lodging, studies, work, colleagues, food, family, friendship, etc. Tell if you initially found language difficulties, tell your impact with a new culture or with a different society. Could you easily become integrated due to your qualities and capabilities? Did your family move with you or did you start one in the new country? Did you meet any compatriots to share your professional experiences with or not to forget your roots and traditions? Have you any peculiar, dramatic, romantic or simply funny anecdote to tell?
The answers to all those questions will help you to write a concise but exhaustive life story.
